Programming
Mother Teresa ECEC offers early learning programming for Pre-Kindergarten to Grade 2 students. Our program allows children to discover and learn through play, inquiry and hands on learning activities. After completion of Grade 2, our students will attend the LCSD elementary school of their choice or within the transportation boundaries.

Pre-Kindergarten Program (for eligible children living in Lloydminster)
- Our Pre-Kindergarten program provides a warm, nurturing, faith-filled introduction to school for three-and four-year-old children. Students attend a structured, play-based program for 2.5 hours, five days a week, where learning happens through exploration, creativity, and meaningful interactions.
- Each day, children grow in their faith, social skills, physical development, and early academic abilities while building confidence and a love of learning in a supportive environment.
- Spaces are limited. Families are encouraged to review the eligibility criteria before registering.

Eligibility Criteria
Children may be considered for the program if any of the following apply:
- Living in a single-parent household.
- Parent(s) were under 21 at the child's birth
- Family or child may be experiencing isolation
- Limited access to childcare or early learning programs
- Low-income household
- Healthcare challenges within the family
- Experience of crisis or trauma
- Delays in social-emotional, behavioural, or language development
- Primary home language is not English
- Referral completed through Midwest Family Connections
Junior Kindergarten
If your child does not meet Pre-Kindergarten criteria, we warmly welcome you to explore the LCSD Junior Kindergarten Program.
This engaging, play-based program is designed to promote school readiness while nurturing the whold child. Through hands-on learning and purposeful play, children develop:
- Social and emotional skills
- Early literacy and numeracy
- Fine motor development
- Creativity, curiosity, and lifelong love of learning
- for the Pre-Kindergarten Program you are welcome to apply for LCSD's JUNIOR KINDERGARTEN program. Junior Kindergarten is a play based early learning program. It is geared towards promoting school readiness and full of hands-on learning that helps develop the child as a whole. Through play we are building social emotional growth, cognitive strengths, fine motor development, early literacy skills and fostering a curiosity and love for learning at a very young age. Our Junior Kindergarten program offers a well rounded, structured classroom environment with many opportunities and a variety of play based activities and centers throughout each day. Our classrooms offer a structured yet flexible environment with a variety of learning centres and activities each day.

Full Time Kindergarten to Grade 2 Programming
At Mother Teresa Early Childhood Education Centre, we are proud to be Lloydminster's only dedicated early childhood education centre, offering a unique, faith-based learning environment where children are known, valued and supported.
School Hours: 8:20 a.m. - 2:55 p.m., Monday to Friday
Transporation: Available city-wide
Our full-time program gives students the time and support they need to thrive academically, socially, and emotionally. Through a balance of play, inquiry, and structured learning, children build strong foundations in:
- Literacy and numeracy
- Social-emotional development
- Problem-solving and critical thinking
